In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Ever Merciful
The Blessed Waqf-e-Jadid Scheme

A devoted and dedicated friend asked that I send to everyone an explanation of what Waqf-e-Jadid funds are used for.

Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih II (may Allah be pleased with him), who founded the Blessed Waqf-e-Jadid Scheme says: For the sake of establishing His faith on the earth we must be prepared to go even into the jungles and deserted places and raise His Blessed Name.  So I desire that just as some dedicate their lives for the work of Tehrik-e-Jadid, others should dedicate their lives directly to me and under my direction, go and teach this Faith to the people.  Even now there are large areas in this Country where, for miles around, there is not even a village.  These devotees should go to such places, settle there and teach the people the Holy Quran and Hadith and their students, in turn, should spread into other regions and thus cover the whole country..  [Alfazal, February 6, 1958]
My purpose with the Waqf-e-Jadid Scheme is that through it a web of our muallaymeen, teachers, should be laid covering the entire Country.  …so that in all places, separated from each other by few miles, a Jama’at muallam, should be situated with a religious school or a shop and the whole year he should be engaged in his work with the people of the area under his care.  …So I say to my friends.. make as many sacrifices for this task as you can and send your names for this Scheme.  If we can raise thousands of such muallaymeen we would be able to adequately service the whole Country and train tens of thousands of people every year. [Alfazal, February 16, 1958]

..I again draw the attention of friends to this new Waqf…dedication.. Our Jama’at must remember that if it wishes to make progress then it will have to produce such devotees and will have to lay down in all directions these kinds of networks capable of providing for the needs of reformation, education and training in the spiritual truths …now is not the time that one murabbee should be going around the whole state visiting from place to place spending an hour here and an hour there.. NO!…Now, the time has come that our murabbee will have to reach every home and hut and this can only happen when you act upon this, my Scheme, and from one end of the country to the other, in every place, such people should be appointed who should live among the people of that area and who, by their pious example, should impress the people of their assigned area and should teach them also and should carry out also the works of reformation and training....And this web should be so large that through it our voice should be capable of reaching every village and place of habitation …indeed every dwelling of every village…so until we can put in place such an all-encompassing web we will not be able to succeed in our assigned responsibility..  [Alfazal, January 11, 1958]

Our real Scheme is that there should be established in the Country some 1,500 such centers, if this happens, then.. we would have a center every five miles and in this way no portion of our Country would be deprived of the services of reformation, education and training.  [Alfazal, March 15, 1958]. Clearly, Hazrat Khalifatul Masih II (may Allah be pleased with him), had been guided by Allah to establish an all encompassing, world-wide-web, so that a spiritual guide should be available to each and every person, a saintly person appointed by, and working under the Khalifa’s watchful eye, to provide for the reformation, education and training of everyone…this is a huge task and demands from each of us a huge sacrifice.

May Allah enable us all to respond in the measure needed.  Aameen!
