Dear Jamat members:
As you may know, on March 24, 2016, an Ahmadi Muslim shopkeeper, Asad Shah, was fatally stabbed near his shop in Glasgow. Huzoor mentioned this tragic incident during last week's Friday Sermon. Suffice it to say, the incident is shocking and is the first major anti-Ahmadi incident within the United Kingdom.
Below is an urgent appeal by the Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) that includes details of the situation and a sample letter to send to key officials in the United Kingdom and Pakistan (UK Home Secretary, Prime Minister of Pakistan, interior minister and Minister of Human rights).
We are taking steps to brief the appropriate U.S. public officials about this matter. But need your help to automatically send emails by following below steps:
1. go to http://www.humanrights.asia/news/urgent-appeals/AHRC-UAC-027-2016
2. fill in your name, email address and country
3. click on preview and it will generate 4 letters,
4. and click on button "send email" at the bottom.
This is an urgent appeal that demands you immediate attention. Should you have any questions or concerns, please call me. Please continue to remember our persecuted Ahmadi Muslim brothers and sisters in your prayers.
Jazakamullah.
