As explained by Imam Azhar Haneef sahib in today's Khutbah, the duration of Eitikaf is last 10 nights and 10 days of Ramadan. It was the practice of the Holy Prophet (peace be on him) to begin with Fajr. Therefore, if you intend to observe Eitikaf, please plan on reaching the mosque tomorrow (Sat 6/25/2016), preferably at Fajar but can arrive anytime BEFORE sunset.

July 4 Parade: Like last year, we will insha'Allah participate in Independence Day Parade in Moorestown to celebrate our Freedoms and show allegiance to our homeland. All members are invited to prticipate or watch the procession (from Moorestown Main Street)

When: Monday July 4. Meet at 11:15 AM
Where: Junction of Chester and Central Ave
            303 Chester Ave, Moorestown NJ 08057
Duration: Parade route is half mile, may take upto 30 minutes  
Dress is casual. Boys: White shirt and blue pants/shorts.
            Girls: White dress and Red scarf.
            If these colors are not available, use patriotic Red/White/Blue if possible.

"... and whoso does good of his own accord, it is better for him (or her). And fasting is good for you, if you only knew". (HQ 2:185).

Zayd ibn Khaalid al-Juhani narrates that The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever gives someone something to break the fast with, he would hove the same blessings as the fasting person, without any reduction in reward for the fasting person". (Narrated by Tirmidhi, 807; Ibn Maajah, 1746)

Alhamdolillah, there are arrangements to break the fast in Al-Nasr Mosque every day; in addition, teams of volunteers cook and server dinner on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). If you wish to help with cooking or serving, or make a monetary contribution towards food for iftar, please contact Saleem Syed (609-744-5358), Waqas Asghar (609-781-0130) or myself.

Please note that we are also raising funds for Eid lunch on July 6. Suggested rate is $5-$10 per person, or $20-$50 per family. If you wish to donate, please contact Sadr Lajna or Waqas Asghar sahib. Jazakomullah.

Fitrana is obligatory on each head of family on behalf of all family members. Prescribed rate is $5/person. This can be paid to Nibras Mir sahib even today; please don't wait untill last minute on Eid Day.

The blessed month of Ramadan begins at sunset this Sunday. Isha prayer and Tarawih prayers will be offered in Al-Nasr Mosque at 9:30 PM Insha'Allah. Sehr and Iftar times for Willingboro are attached.

Plans for the month include daily congregational prayers and Iftar; And Darsul Quran and dinner on weekends. Arrangements are also being made for Itikaf during last 10 days of Ramadan.

Dinner will insha'Allah be served every Friday, Saturday and Sunday by teams of volunteers. Some teams have requested specific days; remaining days will be assigned in next day or so. If you wish to take one of the remaining days, please contact me by phone or text ASAP (856-495-6421); they will be assigned on First Come, First Serve basis.
