السلام علیکم و رحمت ﷲ و برکاتہ

Yesterday, Mukhtar Malhi Sahib was hit by a large tree branch which fell next to his residence. His back took the brunt of the injury resulting in multiple fractures of the thoracic vertebrae. He fell and broke his leg. In addition there is a fracture of the ankle.

Today he had a 10 hour surgery during which the surgeons reconstructed his spine and fixed the leg fracture. They still have to work on the ankle fracture, probably tomorrow.

At this time he is being kept under anesthesia and will be re-evaluated tomorrow. The surgeon is giving a hopeful prognosis. We all join in prayers for the best for this uniformly humble and devoted servant of the Jamat, may Allah Grant him full recovery. Ameen.
