Due to a power issue, there is no heat in the mosque prayer halls so Family day has been postponed. New date will be announced as soon as the issue is resolved.

Tomorrow's juma service will be held as usual, but please dress appropriately as the prayer halls will be colder than usual. We plan to use space heaters, insha'Allah. Juma prayer will be followed by janaza ghaib (funeral prayer in absentia) of respected Rehmat Begum sahiba (mother of Muzaffar Malik sahib).

Daily salat continues to be offered in upstairs conference room.

In the name of Allah, most gracious, ever merciful
Assalamo Alaikum waRahmatullah,

I regret to inform you of the demise of Syed Fazal Ahmed of Philadelphia, who passed away earlier this morning after a brief illness. Inna lillahe wa inna ilehay rajioon; Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return (HQ: 2:157).

Fazal sahib is survived by his wife and three sons. Funeral arrangements have not been finalized but will probably be held in Philadelphia on Friday or Saturday.

The other sad news is about Rehmat Begum sahiba, who passed away on Friday 2/22 at the age of 86 years. Inna lillahe wa inna ilehay rajioon.

Rehmat Begum sahiba was the mother of Muzaffar Malik sahib and aunt (phuphi) of Tehseen Khokhar sahib (both, of Willingboro jamaat). Additional details at AMJFuneralServices.ca.
