K-8 Math Challenge!

By the Grace of Allah, the K-8 Math Challenge has grown since it's introduction last Fall. We now have 229 children enrolled in the Math Challenge program throughout the country. The first chart below shows student enrollment by grade. The second chart shows the current leader in each grade, and the percentage of K8 Math challenge competition that the leader has completed thus far. Finally, we have six students who have already completed the Math Challenge program, Masha'Allah! Let us use these Math Challenge winners as inspiration. The names of the winners are also listed below. We are also presenting a short bio of our youngest and first! Math Challenge winner! Please keep all of our wonderful students in your prayers. Parents who have not yet signed their children for the K8 Math Challenge can do so by going to: http://www.educationahmadiyya.us/for-parents/

Congratulations to our first K-8 Winner: Al-Ameen Adewusi

Al- Ameen Adewusi is one of our first K-8 challenge winners. Al-Ameen is the son of Ahmad Adewusi and Afisat Kukoyi-Adewusi. Al-Ameen is six years old, and he lives in Baltimore, Maryland.  Our winner, attends Hatho Chatsworth elementary school. Al-Ameen found the challenge to be interesting. It was a piece of cake for our little smart fellow to complete them. He used to work on the problems in the morning right after saying his Fajr salat, reciting the Holy Quran and eating breakfast. Al-Ameen encourages every kid to participate in the K-8 challenge.

Five Questions in Thirty Minutes: A New Taleem Initiative

As part of our K-8 Math Challenge program, the National Taleem Department is introducing "Five Questions in Thirty Minutes," a quarterly math quiz that will allow youth to win prizes for their participation.

Every quarter, local Taleem secretaries will give all Atfal and Nasirat a quick math quiz. No need to stress: this is a fun exercise to challenge your minds and encourage some friendly competition.

For full K-8 Math Challenge details, head to our website at www.educationahmadiyya.us/math-contests

For further information, please contact your local Secretary Taleem.
