Assalam o Alaikum!

We are pleased to announce that the second annual National Youth Camp will be held at Baitur Rahman Mosque, Silver Spring, Maryland from Saturday, July 6th, 2019 to Friday, July 12th, 2019. All attendees will be bused to the US Jalsa Salana site on Friday, July 12th, 2019 (Jalsa Salana is considered part of the National Youth Camp). Students are expected to participate in the full duration of the camp and US Jalsa Salana to obtain maximum benefit. The National Youth Camp is a result of the 2017 National Shura recommendations, as approved by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba).

The Youth Camp is for high school students (ages 15-18, both boys and girls) and its purpose is to provide a stimulating environment to discuss religious, moral and social issues relevant for our youth. The camp has a total of 100 seats available (50 boys and 50 girls).

Applications for the National Youth Camp can be submitted here. The application deadline is April 15th, 2019. All jamaat members 15-18 yrs of age, who will be in high school in Fall 2019, are encouraged to apply.

• Any student (boy or girl) who will be in high school (9th-12th grade) in Fall 2019 is eligible to apply
• All applicants must be aged 15-18 at the time of the National Youth Camp
• Students who attended the 2018 National Youth Camp are eligible to apply, as long as they meet the age and high school grade requirements

• Once the application deadline is met, the National Youth Camp Application Review Team will review all applications received. The Admissions Criteria listed above will be used to make selections
• In the event that we receive more applications than there are seats, the National Youth Camp Application Review Team will give preference to applicants in more senior grades (since they have fewer future opportunities to apply) and applicants who have not had a chance to attend the camp before
• The Application Review Team reserves the right to select additional applicants for other criteria including increasing diversity at the youth camp
• The Application Review Team also reserves the right to consider or not consider applicants who submit applications after the deadline

• Each accepted applicant will receive an email to notify of their acceptance. Applicants will be given one (1) week to confirm that they accept their seat for the camp.
• If you decide to accept your seat, you will also be asked to input your travel details into the confirmation form. Do not purchase plane/bus/train tickets unless you have received an email from the National Youth Camp Review Team offering you a spot for the camp.
• If you do not confirm your seat by the requested deadline, your seat will be offered to a waitlisted candidate. The onus is on accepted applicants to accept/decline their spot within the deadline.

• Each waitlisted applicant will receive an email to notify of their placement on the waitlist.
• If a spot becomes available, the National Youth Camp Review Team will send individual emails to applicants to inform of the spot and will be given one (1) week to confirm that they accept their seat for the camp.
• If you decide to accept your seat, you will also be asked to input your travel details into the confirmation form.
  • If you do not confirm your seat by the requested deadline, your seat will be offered to another waitlisted candidate. The onus is on the applicant to accept/decline their spot within the deadline.

Students who are selected are expected to be on site for the full duration of the National Youth Camp and also attend USA Jalsa Salana. Please review your availability to ensure your full participation before applying to the camp.
