It is with a heavy heart, we are informing you that Syed Fazal Ahmed of Philadelphia Jamaat passed away on February 25, 2019 after a hard and long fight with cancer over the last few years, Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un.

His Janaza Prayer will be held at 4pm on Saturday March 2nd, 2019 at Bait-ul-Aafiyat in Philadelphia:  1215 W. Glenwood Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19133.

He was a selfless and dedicated servant of the Jama'at of the Promised Messiah (may peace be on him). He served the Jama'at in various capacities including general secretary of Philadelphia Jama'at, Qadi in US Jama'at's Qada system, Assistant National Secretary Ta'limul Qur'an, and Assistant National Secretary Waqf Nau. He had deep love for the Holy Qur'an and spearheaded the Hifzul Qur'an (memorization of the Holy Qur'an) classes with utmost dedication along with immense love and care for the students. He continued to lead many initiatives despite battling cancer for many years. He has served Majlis Ansarullah USA as Qa'id Ta'limul Qur'an, Na'ib Nazim of North East region and Za'im of Philadelphia Majlis.  He served the Jamaat with a great zeal for service and always had a smile on his face. He continued to serve the Jama'at in one capacity or the other until the very end of his life.

Members remember him as a very loving person with all smiles and a brotherly personality.  He will be deeply missed. May Almighty Allah elevate his status in the highest echelons of paradise and may He be the protector of his family, Ameen.
