Discussion on  gun violence has become very important ... especially in the wake of recent school and mosque shootings ... that requires planning and action on our part to keep us safe from gun violence.

Friday May 24: Ms. Erica Ramona of Moms Demand Action is coming to Al-Nasr Mosque tonight speak on how to Be SMART - an educational initiative to raise awareness of safety and safe storage of firearms and to educate public about gun violence and the tragedy of accidental shootings by kids.  Ms Ramona's 20-minute presentation is scheduled for 7:30 pm Today followed by 10 minutes for Q&A. All members are requested to arrive before 7:30 pm. Jazak'Allah.

Moms Demand Action is a grassroots , non-partisan movement of Americans, fighting for public safety measures that can protect people from gun violence and keep our families safe. Saturday May 25 7:00 PM Khilafat Day & Aqeeqah for Isaac
Tomorrow's Khilafat Day program is scheduled for 7PM, followed by iftar, prayers and Aqeeqah of Isaac Ahmed Khan (son of Sarah Chaudhri and Qasim Khan, grandson of Bushra Safee and Safeeullah Chaudhri). The newborn is in blessed scheme of waqfe Nau. The family has cordially invited all to participate, and remember Isaac in their prayers.
