Great news regarding Ansar Housing Project

Assalamo Alaikum,

I want to share a great news with you all which many of us have been consciously or unconsciously waiting for a long time.

After a long struggle and so many prayers, finally, Allah the Almighty has blessed the Majlis with a big victory regarding our housing project in Baltimore. As you recall, Hartford county where this community is located, started to pose hurdles for the project from the very beginning. This was based on hearsay from a couple of local politicians. Finally, the same county offered a settlement agreement to Majlis Ansarullah and the builder showing a totally transformed attitude. Here are the salient settlement terms:

1) County is offering a large monetary sum which is enough to cover legal fees of both Majlis Ansarullah and the builder as well as the losses of the builder over the past two years. A part of that money is also reserved for the infrastructure development of the community which will directly benefit our Ahmadi homeowners and residents of this community.

2) Majlis Ansarullah maintains its exclusive right to purchase homes from the builder as long as we have the buyers in the pipeline.

3) County has cleared the path for the Majlis to build a community center in this development right away. This will provide opportunity to our Ahmadi homeowners and residents to offer five daily prayers by walking 5 mins or less to this beautiful community center. It will function as a Mosque for all practical purposes and serve as a place for social gatherings for our Ahmadi residents.

Inshallah, more details about the pricing and ways to purchase a home there, will be forth coming. At this time, I wanted to share this blessed news with you as soon as possible. This project is at this stage with the blessings of Khilafat. Anyone making this community a future home will live with this amazing feeling that their beloved Imam’s home is right next to theirs. A blessing that every Ahmadi can only dream of but only a few can achieve.

I have already written to Huzur (may Allah be his helper) for his prayers and I request you all to please pray for the successful completion of this project. Majlis has a lot to do in the next few months, especially securing and streamlining buyers and follow up on the construction of the community center which will act as a symbol of faith, hope and truthfulness for a long time to come.

I would also request prayers for Faheem Younus Sahib and Khurram Bashir Sahib who have spent innumerable hours during the whole lawsuit process. Please also remember the members of Ansar housing committee who have worked tirelessly and are committed to do anything for the successful completion of this project.
