A Risk Regarding National Ijtima

Faheem Younus Qureshi, Sadr Majlis

Dear Ansar Brothers,
As-Salamu ‘Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

Alhamdulillah, all of you have worked hard to make our upcoming Ijtima a success. The program has been finalized (and included in this issue), food, transportation, accommodation, BBQ, workshops, health tests, and other services are in place. But there is a risk...

Yesterday, for a change, I tried to crash early. As I got in the bed and turned to my left, I noticed the bedside clock staring back at me. The time was exactly 11:11! You can see the picture of the clock below.

Now someone can call it a coincidence. But in 55:30 Allah states, “Everyday, He reveals Himself in a different state.” So who knows...

But regardless of whether it meant anything or not, as we watch a nationwide momentum build around our National Ijtima 1-1-1-1, the risk we run is this: that we may end up relying, solely on our efforts instead of our reliance on prayers. Let’s not make that mistake.

So it is my humble request that all of us should invest extra time in voluntary prayers during these final days leading up to the National Ijtima. Write a letter to Huzoor. Let’s just not pray to reach the miraculous goal of 1-1-1-1 this year, but also pray for our children, our mutual brotherhood, our Khilafat, and our hereafter.

Let’s join each other in fervent prayers and then experience the magic of these prayers at Ijtima 1-1-1-1.

Was-Salam,
