Response to
   Dr. Mehdi Qamar's
   Martyrdom

How the USA Jama‘at reacted to the martyrdom of Dr. Mehdi Ali Qamar

As-Salamu ‘Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

What Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) said nearly three decades ago—“Martyr as many Ahmadis as you like...Allah is with us”—still rings true. And our living Khilafat, just last week on May 23, 2014 reminded us: “believers should always look only to God for all their outcomes.”

Therefore, after seeking respected Amir Sahib’s approval, we are urging Jama‘at members to respond to the martyrdom of our brother Dr. Mehdi Ali with fervent prayers. All presidents are urged to register our complaint with the highest authority by doing the following:

  • Thursday (May 29th) - Urge members to keep a voluntary fast, pray for the safety of Ahmadi Muslims living under persecution, and for world peace.
  • Friday (May 30th) - Offer Funeral Prayers in abstentia for our decorated martyr, Dr Mehdi Ali.
  • Saturday (May 31st) - Organize collective Tahajjud Prayers in your mosques, Salat centers, homes.

Remember the fifth condition of Bai‘t: “That he/she shall remain faithful to God in all circumstances of life, in sorrow and happiness, adversity and prosperity, in felicity and trial; and shall in all conditions remain resigned to the decree of Allah and keep himself/herself ready to face all kinds of indignities and sufferings in His way and shall never turn away from it at the onslaught of any misfortune; on the contrary, he/she shall march forward.”

Let us march forward, while proclaiming: Who cares if our bodies fall down; our prayers will stand up to your bullets.

May Allah accept our offerings, Amin.
