Ride to Ijtima 2023 Details
5 Days, 3 Options
Option 1 Full Ride: Starts on Monday, Oct 2nd in Pittsburgh, PA ending on Friday, Oct 6th at Baitur Rehman,
Silver Spring, MD.
Qualification: Advanced Level. Must have done a similar distance ride in the last two years. Or have done multi
day rides at a pace of 13 mph or higher Or a total distance of 150 miles or more.
Arrival Date and Airport: Arrive by Sunday, Oct 1st at Pittsburgh, PA airport before 3 pm
Bicycle Rentals: Majlis will rent a bicycle for you, but you are welcome to bring your own
Airfare: Majlis will reimburse you for travel using the Ijtima travel reimbursement policy
Accommodation/Meals: Majlis will provide accommodation either at the Mosque, home or at a hotel starting Sunday
Night, Oct 1st to Friday morning Oct 6th along with meals from Sunday, Oct 1st dinner to Friday, Oct 6th
breakfast
Registration: Everyone must register by Sept 1st 2023 for Option 1 to ensure proper preparation by the national
team.
Option 2 Half Ride: Starts on Wednesday, Oct 4th in Harrisburg, PA ending on Friday, Oct 6th at Baitur
Rehman, Silver Spring, MD
Qualification: Intermediate Level. Must have done similar distance rides in the last 3 years. Or have done
multi-day rides at a pace of 15 or higher. Or a total distance of 40 miles / day or more.
Arrival Date and Airport: Arrive Tuesday, Oct 3rd at Pittsburgh, PA or Harrisburg, PA airports by 3 pm
Bicycle Rentals: Majlis will rent a bicycle for you, but you are welcome to bring your own
Airfare: Majlis will reimburse you for travel using the Ijtima travel reimbursement policy
Accommodation/Meals: Majlis will provide accommodation either at the Mosque, home or at a hotel starting Tuesday
Night, Oct 3rd to Friday morning Oct 6th along with meals from Sunday, Oct 1st dinner to Friday, Oct 6th

Option 3 Participation Ride: Starts on Friday morning, Oct 6th from Rockville, MD to Baitur Rehman, Silver
Spring, MD
Arrival Date and Airport: Arrive Thursday, Oct 5th at BWI airport following the guidelines provided by the
National Ijtima Transportation team. Transportation to the starting point will be provided on Friday morning from
Baitur Rehman Mosque
Airfare: Majlis will reimburse you for travel using the Ijtima travel reimbursement policy
Bicycle Rentals: Individuals will be responsible for bringing their own bicycles to Baitur Rehman. Majlis
will transport your bicycle to the starting point on Friday morning from Baitur Rehman this way when you finish
the ride, your bicycle will be where your car is (at masjid Baitur Rehman)
Accommodation: Individuals are responsible for arranging their own accommodation via the accommodation options for
all Ijtima attendees
Registration: Everyone must register by Sept 15th 2023
