A Perfect Eid Gift

Baltimore Majlis

Franck, a 20-year-old student, converted to Islam in January 2018. At the beginning of Ramadan, he was looking for a mosque and found Bait-us-Samad Mosque in Roseland, MD on Google. He sent a text to the Imam and Sadr Jama’at, quickly connecting with them and scheduling a visit to the mosque. He lives far from the mosque, so he walked for 45 minutes to get there. Franck came to the mosque at 11 AM and waited for about two hours for someone to show up. He then stayed at the mosque all day, spent time with Imam Abdullah Dibba, offered his Prayers, and left at 11 PM. He insisted that he wanted to sign the Bai'at that same day, and he did. Alhamdulillah!

He had a bike that he used to get to the mosque during Ramadan. When someone stole his bike, he again made the 45-minute walk to Bait-us-Samad without a single complaint. Upon noticing this, a Khadim offered to give Franck ride to the mosque. On Eid-ul-Fitr, Majlis Ansarullah Baltimore purchased a bike for Franck so he could be connected to the mosque more easily—a perfect Eid gift. When asked about his stolen bike, Franck simply replied, “The person who took the bike might have needed it more than me.”

Alhamdulillah!

May Almighty Allah make him a true representation of the Jama’at of the Promised Messiah (may peace be on him).
