Waqf Jadid
Dear Brothers,
As-Salamu ‘Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah
"And whatever of wealth you spend, it is for yourselves" [2:273]
In his Friday sermon of January 5, 2018, Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (may Allah be his helper) said:
"It is a sign of a believer that he spends for the sake of Allah, and blessed are those who do so with this intention. Today, there is no one on the face of the earth, except Ahmadis, who make sacrifices for the sake of earning divine pleasure. Perhaps there are also other individuals who do so, but as a community it is only the Ahmadiyya Jama’at which makes financial sacrifices for the sake of spreading faith, helping the needy and informing the world of the true and beautiful face of Islam. It is recorded in a Hadith that Allah said to the Holy Prophet (may peace and blessings of Allah be on him):
'O son of Adam! Deposit your wealth with me and rest at peace for it is neither in danger of being consumed by fire nor of being drowned in water, nor of being stolen by a thief. I shall return in full, the treasure that you deposit with me, on the Day when you will be in most need of it.'
That is to say whatever we spend in the path of Allah it is saved in our account and will be returned to us by Allah when we stand in need of it."
I would like to remind my Ansar brothers that we are entering the last quarter of the Waqf Jadid year. Currently, we are at 35% of our total goal with three and a half months to go. I urge you to please take part in this blessed scheme by paying your Waqf Jadid Chanda to your local finance secretary if you have not already done so.
